Default Linkage help for a swap (98 civic dx hatch shell, B18A1 motor)

Did a quick search for linkage and didn't turn up what I needed, neither did "the google".

I have a 98 civic DX hatch shell with a B18A1 from a 92 LS in it. Admittedly I'm new to working on cars and have had friends helping me out so my apologies if people get annoyed with novice questions.

Long story short, I'm slipping out of 5th and will be looking into the bushings and transmission adjustment as needed, but when I took my car in to pinpoint a leak they told me that the linkage for the car was wrong (I didn't do the swap, bought it as a project) and this might be what was causing the car to pop out of gear. I just need to know what linkage would fit the swap. Someone said they thought they needed the LS linkage, I just want to make sure (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1637988).

Thanks.

99-00 si
this will fit the best.
you can force a gsr linkage to work but it rubs alittle.

now i volunteer this advice assuming you have a hydro transmission.

if you have used the cable style transmission you would have to see if the linkage bolts up...
pretty sure it does

my understanding is that this is still the cable setup that came stock. I'm talking to the guy that sold me the car...though it seems as though everythings suggesting that in order to really get the swap working you have to convert to hydro.

All that said and done, I'm still rediculously confused and i'm starting to think it's just the bushings, because the car drove fine for months.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated, but I'll probably be back if I put in new bushings and it's still slipping.

well for ease of the swap, it is best to use the transmission from an acura integra (gsr, type r or ls) 94-01,or 99-00 civic si.
the reason being they all utilize transmissions with cluches actuated by a hydraulic system as opposed to a cable.
hence the reason for the names of the types of trannys.
if your not using a hydro transmission, get one....
it will save you alot of headache...
you might have a different motor mount setup (rigged to fit.)
if you go out and install the hydro transmission, your stock motor mounts will fit the brackets and the transmission correctly.
it sounds like because they used the older transmission, there is fitment issues and causing adverse conditions.
hope this helps...
