Aftermarket. They are muuuch lighter than shaving your stock wheel. i dont know how light you can go. maybe 10 lbs. but you should go with an aftermarket one.

I say aftermarket. I would feel more comfortable with a flywheel that I know was designed to be that light and had lightness and durability in mind when it was constructed. I think with the stock flywheel that was lightenend it might not hold up as long and I don't think you could safely lighten it to be worth while...

I also have an Si and when it was all motor i had a JUN ultra light flywheel in it. When all motor the flywheel was great with very free revving power. However, now i am turboed and the flywheel being so light really hinders my launch and my lag in between shifts. I plan on takingit out adn replacing it with a resurfaced stock unit. My opinion is if you plan on turboing it DO NOT put to light of a flywheel in it, but if you are all motor then i would recomend an aftermarket one, preferably a chromoly one like my JUN. They are much stronger than oneof those cheap aluminum ones...
