LEAST noisy exhaust setup?
For me deciding which exhaust to go with is a little iffy. Sure the deep throaty exhaust is nice but being heard 5 blocks away at 8000rpm is not so nice. So out off all the exhaust sys I've heard apex n1 and tanabe g-med. seem to be the "quitest" if thats what you wanna call it, of them all. So if anyone knows of a recommendable system let me know. Am I better off going with custom 2.5 madrel piping (cat back) with a muffler? Is there a muffler thats "quiter". I've seen a few mufflers recently, and I'm not into that 5 inch tip if I can avoid it, I've seen a nice muffler with a 3'' tip, are the mufflers with smaller tips quiter? Thankx for you opinion

Re: LEAST noisy exhaust setup? (b16b hatch)
do you mean the apexi and WON tanabe are some of the loudest? try the es oval, i got one with resonator and i like it.
SIINSI & HXGUY both on this board have them and love them... looks close to stock... or try running an ITR exhaust system.

Look at the Apexi WorldSport. It looks very subdued, and the volume is THE lowest you will get next to stock.

Re: LEAST noisy exhaust setup? (maxim)
Assuming it's going in a 99-00 Si or something w/ a b16a, the Mugen Twin Loop is reaaly quiet and has a perfect sound. Sounds like an engine, not a muffler. Quiet around town, silent on the highway and roars under vtec.
Pricey for an axleback ($500) but worth it. I love mine.
P.S. I've been told that it drones on an EX because those cars cruise at 3000-3200 rpm (the 'drone zone')

Re: LEAST noisy exhaust setup? (deepnite)
quietest is CTR stock muffler .. if u never seen one in person the diamter of the piping is quite large and flows well.. but that will cost u an arm and a leg.. well I have a g power but I'm getting rid of it since I've had it for 3 years and want something a tad more quiet

damn i never seen a CTR muffler. are yo uspeaking of an OEM one? can you post pics? instead of piping, has anyone ever welded like 8 resonators together and all of the bends are the only real piping? i wonder what that sounds like?

u could retrofit a itr exhaust to yours it would be pretty similar to the ctr except it would have to be modded to fit a lil if u have a hatch i think it fits the sedans and coupes.
