LEAK!! Waterpump Center Area - Where could it be coming from???
SO I go to fill up my car with fluids again today get to the rad. All full. Got under the car and noticed a few drips on my shirt
Theres a leak somewhere coming from the waterpump area, small as ****, maybe 1 drip every 15 seconds
Its coming form the bottom right corner of the pump, not where it meets the block on that seem but it is in a bit, like its coming from the inside of the pump, where the hell can it leak from there?
I tried checking everything but its so hard to see right there, got my top timing cover off, alt moved back and I just cant see where its coming from, i can see where it drips but I just cant stop the dripping
How do I find this leak and where could it be coming from?

Yeah, a seal could be bad, even if it's not dripping b/c of the seal, the seal could have let air in there and caroded something leading to improper functioning..
I would replace the water pump

what i did when i changed mines was so sand the block and the new water pump, then put silicone (no gasket) on the water pump, slap it on and put the bolts on fast and torque it. has been 2 yrs, 30k miles, no leaks.
try doing that first since silicone isnt that expensive. if same thing happens maybe a new water pump?
