Default KYB AGX questions

Getting all four of em done and im strongly leaning toward AGXs. Cars a daily driver, not slammed. Looking for a non-bone jarring ride and good handling. I hear theyre bad a on bumps? Good choice for daily driver? I searched and read the preferred settings and some install tips, but just want a quickie on your guys' experiences. TIA for feedback.

i have agx for about a yr now and they work great. i have a 1.3 inch drop on my civic and it rides smooth over bumps. but if u crank it to full stiff yea its gonna be a hard ride. my car is a daily driver also. im using eibach springs wit my agxs.

There's not much adjustability with the AGX's.

i mean no matter what shocks u get ur gonna have a little bumpy ride cause its lowered....but i have agx's on groundcontrols, i just got them liek 2 weeks ago and ilove them, they bounce back nicely from big bumps or dips and they handle so beautifully and i only have them on 2 in teh front 3 in the back, and u can go 4 4, i've yet to try that setting

Daily driver. Just installed rear AGX when I installed GSR rear sway bar about a month ago. Stock springs all around and still have stock struts in the front. I have the rears set at the #2 setting. I'm very happy and am looking forward to getting some on the front. Cornering is much improved but I'm sure the 14 mm. GSR sway bar is helping alot. #2 setting not too stiff for bad roads. Concrete cracks are more noticeable than stock shocks (80,000 miles) but the AGX's handle big bumps much better than the stocks. I have gravel and dirt roads to navigate where pickups define the ruts so will never lower the car.

I had AGX's on my 240 (with eibach sportlines). They're a great ride, not too stiff at all. I never changed them from 2/2 though. They did begin to blow after a year or so.. they just felt a bit less responsive. Take it for what you will.

Selling them...

AGX do NOT like to be slammed. That's why your warranty is voided if you go over 1.5" drop or so. Plus, Hondas in general don't like to be slammed. We don't have a lot of suspension travel to begin with so save yourself some money. If you want to ride around slammed, you'll be on the bumpstops anyway so just go get some blown shocks out of the junkyard.

I had the KYB's on my car with eibach sportlines and they blew out in two weeks. If you plan on using them on anything other than car shows use a quality strut/shock...like bilstein, koni or tein, then you'll be happy and not have to rebuy em two or three times a year

got the the agx's with ground control sleeves, they work fine, koni yellows would be nicer just so i wouldnt have to keep on worrying about ride height. agx is fine if your not gonna go too low and its easier to adjust in the rear than koni yellows if you carpeting in the back.
