Default Knocking noise.

Civic EX D16Y8
I'm getting a knocking noise on my car. Not quite sure what it is. I put a stethoscope to the heads, nothing strange there. Also put a stethoscope to the block and the oil pan.
The noise occurs at idle. It becomes inaudible as soon as gas is given. It almost sounds like something it tapping the exhaust at 1200RPM. Other than that the car runs perfect. I'm new to these cars is there anything like this commonplace here?

you check your heat shields under the car? are you in the rust belt? check to see that a bolt didnt rust off or back itself off somehow?

Ive had a PS pump bolt back itself off a few years ago, so anythings possible.

I haven't checked anything yet because I don't know where to start lol! It does sound like its something hitting a tube, like the exhaust. Can the heat shields hit the exhaust?
I do live in the rust belt. I live in Michigan and this car has 165k of hard MI winters and shitty MI roads.
Anyways uploading videos.

jack up the car, and take a look. Id consider the heat shield noise to be a rattle, but it could be a knocking also.
the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts rust off and it'll hit the exhaust...then again alot of moving metal parts that vibrate on a car, so ill wait for vid

It starts at 1:19 and kinda goes away then you can hear it a bit better at 1:51-1:53 and when I first start the car. Still sounds nothing like typical rod knock.
Anyways holy **** the oil was low as hell, almost to min. I wish the previous owner would have told me it leaked/burned oil. Now I am really considering it may be bearing damage, I hope not.

adjust the valve lash.... instructions are on here how to do so. As for knocking, in the 2nd video I didnt hear anything way out of the ordinary. Mine sounds about the same. She ticks a little bit every once in a blue.....I reco you do a vavle adjustment, and change the oil over to castrol gtx. I dont know why but mine runs nice and quiet on castrol and shes got over 200k. I put in a cheap oil and it sounds like its going to detonate.

Where did your stethoscope tell you the noise is coming from?

All I could hear was the valves through out the engine. With the stethoscope I did not locate the sound from the oil pan, side of the block and from the top end of the block.

I use Castrol GTX High Mileage. I will adjust the valves and I will also replace all the accessory belts. The car is leaking oil or maybe burning it but I don't see smoke or smell it at all so I would believe there is a leak. Where are oil leaks common on these cars?
Also after adding some oil the valves really quieted down, obviously.
