Keyless Entry Programming for 96 EX
Hey guys, I snooped around a bit but couldnt find a sure way to hook this up. I'm trying to get the Stock keyless remote to work on a 96 EX that has a 99 Si CD player in it, I was told that you needed a OEM radio for the keyless to be programmed and figured that the 99 radio would work. Does any one have any input on how to do this? The car came with a keyless remote but an aftermarket CD player so the remote wouldnt work, so I'm puting the Stock one in, in the hopes that it will allow the remote to be programmed.
You need a stock 96-98 radio for your power locks to work. The lock control module is biult into the radio. Most guys, including myself, have a stock radio tucked behind the dash and have a harness running to it for the locks.
yeah the reciever and stuff for the remote are inside the stock player. if the car already had keyless you should be good to go.
however, i am not 100% that the radio plugs in exactly the same between the 96 and 99. but you can iron that out later when you sit down and get it done
