To prevent it before you step out your car, put your hand on some type of metal before your feet touches the ground.

i think that would happen cuz we use to slide our feet on the carpet and then touch eachother to shock eachother. it's cuz of the friction you cause when u move ur feet against the carpet. i guess it's the same thing when ur driving and ur feet are constantly moving to press the clutch, brake, or gas pedal. and ur feet slide on the carpet in your car. and then u go to touch something medal and it shocks you.

only way i could think of fixing it, is to gettin diamond plated floor boards for your car so your feet aren't on the carpet.

put your entire hand on the door. It spreads out the schock to near nothingness. When you pin-point the area ( using one finger ) all the energy goes into one painful place ( the tip of the first finger to touch the door ). Use a full palm to close door. NO worrys.

wat i do is while in the seat, i open the door, and stick my hand out, on the side of the car, hold it there until i got out. and once you are out, you are safe.

Mine just kind of went away on the drivers side, It does shock the passenger whenever they get out tho. Nothing that you can really do about it.

It's 100 percent normal. Usually only during the winters thought when it's dry. Just make sure you touch something metal before you fill up your car with gas so you don't blow yourself up.

I was reading about that on the CNN website, it happens more that you'd think, pretty crazy. When the air is dry, I always tap the metal ring in the door jam before pumping gas
