Default keep blowing fuses, checked everything, PLEASE help!!

ok suddenly today i start my car and i notice my instrument gauges, clock, turn signals and hazards dont work? all this **** out of nowhere! i have not tampered with anything. i got the clock to work i dont know how.

now whenever i use my turn signals i blow the back-up light fuse under the dash and whenever i turn my hazards on i blow the hazard fuse in the engine compartment. i looked over everything and have been through about 20 fuses so far. its not my relay i swapped the one from my teg in there and still blowing fuses. im so screwed i dont know what could be causing this. please help me!

have you tampered with or even touched the turn signals or harnesses? It sounds like you have a turn signal wire shorting out probably to the body somewhere. look at ur wires and check for open copper.

checked for continuity in ur relay with a test light? Make SURE you have no loose grounds hitting metal...my guess is theres bare wire in your harness somewhere having contact with metal. It's gonna be a main wire too considering all ur fuses keep blowing.

i already swapped the relay from my teg in there and it works in the teg so..
ive already looked at all the wiring, its all bundled up from the factory.

could a bad combo switch cause it to blow fuses?

looking at a loom of wire isnt going to do anything
get a multimeter and start checking wires, contiunity between a power wire and ground with 0 resistance means the wire is shorting somewhere. then you have to open the loom and look.

Have you changed you light bulbs recently?? You might want to check your turn signal light bulbs and make sure that they are properly hitting the two prongs on the endlink to the bulb. If one of them is slightly crossed over, when you turn your lights on or you turn your hazards are turned on.. it will blow the instrument cluster fuse. I had this problem before and I killed myself trying to find the short and all it was-- was a stupid light bulb housing.

good luck

well all the light bulbs are out and it still blows the back uplight fuse when i use the turn signals and the hazard fuse when i try to use the hazards.

i put a self resetting circuit breaker in place of the blowing fuse and the right side blinkers work but when i use the left side i just get a real loud buzzing from the flasher relay.

its gotta be something on the left side...

i put a contiunity power off checker on the right side turn signal, the ground and power wire both made it light up and the signal wire didnt make it light up.

now on the right side all 3 wires made it light up.

about a week ago i had taken off my oil catch can to clean it out and when i put it back on i guess the bracket pinched the turn signal wire right there near the shock tower.

so 2 days of work, tore my car all to pieces, and $40 later its fixed
