K20Z1 SUPERCHARGER EG
I'M RUNNING A 2006 RSX-S (K20Z1) IN MY 95 EG HATCH. I'M TRYING TO MODIFY IT WITH A RACE VERSION OF JACKSON RACING SUPERCHARGER (100 HP). THEY DON'T OFFER THIS FOR THE 2006 RSX-S, BUT THEY DO FOR THE 2002-4 RSX-S. I CONTACTED THEM AND THEY COULD NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION. I TRIED HONDATA, SKUNK2, HYBRID RACING AND EVEN BRAMMO MOTORSPORTS WITH NO LUCK. I AM RUNNING A 2002-4 KPRO ECU, WIRING HARNESS AND I HAVE SWITCHED THE CLUTCH CASING WITH THE 2002-4 CLUTCH CASING SO I COULD PICK UP THE SPEED SENSOR. WHILE I WAS AT IT I PUT IN A 6 PUCK CLUTCH, STREET FLYWHEEL AND LSD FROM THE TYPE R. WHAT I'M WONDERING IS IF I SWITCH THE CRANK PULLEY TO A 2002-4 AND THE THROTTLE BODY CAN I USE THE JACKSON RACING 'RACE' VERSION OF THEIR SYSTEM SINCE MY ENGINE IS NOW SIMILAR TO THE 2002-4 K20A2. I UNDERSTAND THE CAMS ARE DIFFERENT, BUT THE COMPRESSION RATIO IS THE SAME. I'M ALSO WONDERING ABOUT HOOD CLEARANCE. I'M UTILIZING AVID MOUNTS. ANY ADVICE OUT THERE?

Re: K20Z1 SUPERCHARGER EG (BlackoutVTi)
Just be normal and turbo it. There's a jolly good reason why 99% of small displacement car owners turbo instead of supercharge.
Jump in a hole.

It will work with some modification, search of clubrsx.com i read an article on why the 02-04 and 05-06 chargers are differnt. I just cant remember why right now. And chargers are awesome on k series, my buddy has one and it pulls hard!

I wish I could justify spending $8,000-$10,000 for 210bhp 160fwtq

Re: (cartune network)
I've heard of people doing them that cheap.
But it's a lot less often than the more expensive experience.
I'm sure with the right connections you can do it for less, but I don't have those.
And most people don't.

I WANTED A 6 SPEED WITH AN LSD, SO THE K WAS THE WAY. I HAD THE B18C, LOST A BEARING AND COULD HAVE REBUILT IT, BUT I PREFER THE K OVER THE B. YES, COST CAN BE AN ISSUE, BUT I'M PENNY WISE AND POUND FOOLISH.

So having a 6 speed was worth $8,000+? For intermediate drivers a 6 spd can be detrimental to track driving. Just more shifting. To each his own. K swaps are nice. I'd like to have one. If you have the $$, go for it.

Or a down payment on a car that will be worth more in 5 years than an already 12-16 y/o car.
I could never justify spending over 5k for a motor, unless it was turbo'd. I still dont now why people go with the K. If you had unlimited funds is it really the best motor to build off of? Honest question.
It sure as hell isnt for the amount of tail you get from the ladies because the majority of women shut off their ears when guys talk about cars. To them its all "blah, blah, blah".
Guy - "Oh snap girl, look at that m@d tyte EG with a K20 y0".
Girl - "I dont get it... is that Gucci's new line of purses?"

Re: Re: (95ProjectEJ1)
you will seriously regret buyin a supercharger... they are junk, especially jackson racing. Put a nice turbo in it and you can put down like 380-420 hp with head work too
