I am wanting to do a k20 swap in my civic so im gathering information. Anything anyone can tell me will help. I'm first looking for a place to buy the motor...any recommendations would be helpful. Second Im wondering what k series motor would be best. rsx motor or the k24. i heard there is something with the tsx motor head that doesnt work well in eg/ek cars. Would like to talk to anyone who has done one to find out about what you spent and what exactly is all needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Searching requires more than eg+ recent topics. Seach the hybrid forum, classifieds (user and sponsor). And all of this should be done in Recent AND archived. There is a HUGE thread about k series in an eg in the hybrid forum. Hybrid Racing wrote it.

hum, when i looked into doing the swap it was more around 10k after mounts and all the harnesses, etc. But that was with paying labor, because i do not have the time to do that big of a swap.

I think im still gonna look into sticking with my d16z6 and a turbo.

Yeah, that is one of the misconseptions about this swap. It costs an arm and a leg to do. In your case it would come out really expensive with labor.

The actual physical swap is not that difficult. It's more the wiring and stuff that takes the most time. And now that the aftermarket has caught up to the swap, it's even easier than before. This swap is huge and is only getting started.

i would definatly be doing the swap myself. pricing things out it looks like it would be about 6k for everything i would need to get it in. i was under the impression that the swap was around 10k without labor but i guess it is not quite that bad.
