Do you have a vacumm leak somewhere? Hows your PCV valve looking?

How old is your cat?

Heres a link that gives info on what parts are legal and there EO numbers.

See if your manifold is listed, double check your EO number againist the one listed

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/a...e.php

Hope this helps, goodluck!

if your intake comes in two pieces and is carb exempt then its legal.

no leaks what so ever, cat is good as well. i'll check to see if the manifold is carb, but it's a skunk2 one, so it should be.

So far as the HC since your only off by 7 the stuff you said could bump your numbers down enough.

actually, my eo# is D-537 and part number is 307-05-0270. on the arb web site above, for the skunk2 manifold, the eo# is D-537-2 but the part number is the same. why is the eo# different. anyone with the skunk2 pro-series intake manifold for gsr has the same eo# as mine or different.

couple of things to check but HC is a product of unburnt something weather it is coolant or fuel. so first try new plugs and wires. then if you can take temps before and after the cat it should be 100 degrees hotter after the cat. if it is like 50 degrees hotter than it is working but not completly so a new cat would deffintly clean up the left over emissions. the intake is not causing the HC to go up. if anything the excesive bore of the manifold would get more air in there causing the O2 numbers to go up or possibly run it just a little bit lean and cause NOX to go up. but try that first. or find a shop to hook you up.

i'm not smoggin my car, so a shop can't help me. i'm reffing it. i already install new ngk iriduim plugs. for the intake, i have to change it because the ref guy said it's not legal since it's cut into two pieces, it's an aem cold air intake. he also question me about the intake manifold carb sticker, which on the carb website, the eo# is different from mine, mine is d-537 and on the site it says d-537-2. did skunk2 update or what. that's the only problem i have now. as far as hc goes, i'll try to just seafoam motor, and from the vacum hose from the brake booster, and putting it into the gas. after wards, changing oil and putting on a new oil filter. hopefullie this will work. also would i pass if i still have modified pcv. i remember when i had my b16 with modified pcv, because of the skunk2 manifold, i still pass for visual.

also it says that the carb./fuel injection is modified. what is that? Vacuum lines to sensors/switches is missing as well, what could that be?

Don't sea foam the car yet, I have seen bad emission result after sea foam(clean out carbon, which cause NOX(not a problem in your case), and carbon buildup can be a seal).

Lower your timing 2 degree below spec, change plugs(you did already). http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/a...y.php the link say it's for vtec, either the tech don't know much about Honda, or he's fucing with you, and same to the intake(I have seen 2 piece before)

I would go to another ref station

thanks, that's what i was thinking as well, choosing another ref station. i was thinking, my car's a gsr and it's vtec, why did he even told me it's for vtec camshafts. is he nuts. i'm still having problems with high hc, seafoam will be bad eh, will an oil change help lower the hc then. plus what else will lower the hc, i'm planning on changing the pcv hose as well.

New plugs, new plug wires, and an oil change.

If its burning oil, try throwing so "no smoke" in there.

Don't forget cap and rotor. Rotors wear out almost instantly.

High HC means unburned fuel from running rich. So it's most likely ignition related or if your injectors are sticking open which would give you much higher HCs than what you have.
