Just picked up some mudguards, Have a few questions..
I just picked up a set of mudguards for my 00 Si. I know the fronts just screw right on, with the fender liner screws..
But does the rear require the spring nuts & Grommets? Does Honda still stock these, or am I SOL? If I can't get OEM Honda ones, can I use anything else?
Thanks!

idk if its the same, i would imagine it is tho.
my rear mud flaps there were a couple places to screw into, inside the wheel well, and the rear bumper had spots for the other screws to go. its just a little clip that goes over the holes and then you screw into that...
if it wasn't shitty out i would go take pictures, and im sure you could go to the hardware store and come up with something to get those guys on. or you could go to the junkyard and grab a couple. atleast thats what i would do.

So would I be able to find those at a hardware store?
Does anyone have the specs of the stuff I will need so I can try to pick it up tomorrow?
Thanks

pretty sure it just goes by screw size. obviously you want the clip to hold to the bumper so just take a few measurements and go to the store.

Honestly those clip things aren't even needed. I'm pretty sure I skipped over those because my wheel was in the way and I was over taking 'em off. They look great though.

Just called my buddy at Honda and he said they were discontinued (as I imagined).
If anyone can get some specs of the screws needed that would be great. I don't wanna go to big/small and screw the bumper up.
Thanks

wtf are you talking about... how exactly are you supposed to hold the mudguard in place with out them... there are a couple holes in the chasis... and then the holes in the bumper. and those clips are for the bumper... does your mudguard flap around in the wind alot? lol

check it out... find a screw then see how big it is compared to the holes in the bumper. you want the screw to be smaller then that hole... THEN you take your lazy *** to home depot, menards, lowes, ace hardware w/e you want to go and find a clip for said screw. its SOOOOOOOOOO EASY. You have probally wasted more energy trying to find the OE ones, and asking questions on honda-tech then it would of actually taken to do it this way.
keep in mind... the screw is not screwing into the bumper. so thats why its smaller then the holes.

Umm, my bumper doesn't have any holes. It just has 2 little dimples where I assume the screws would go. Give me 5 mins and I'll go take a couple pics.

ok maybe its hard to see but the top circle looks like a hole to me.
second circle has a screw in it...whats behind that screw? i am willing to bet nothing. that would be 2 holes.
and i really cant tell but it kinda looks like there was a screw once in the third circle because of the discoloration. im willing to bet this car had mudguards at one point of its life

oh, and put all the screws in... don't leave a few out. you will lose your mudflaps. trust me on this. lol

Okay, once again, those are NOT holes. They are small indentations. NOT HOLES.
This car never had mudguards before.
And behind the middle screw is a black "guard". Not sure what it does, but It's kinda like a fender liner except on the back.

My mud guards stay on good, and have for about 8 months. I do remember now those clips go on the bumper, I left half the screws out, that's all I'm saying. I was suggesting that he might not even need them.
