Just installed Pivot super earthing system
I don't know if I did it right, damn instructions was in japanese, and the pic's were not all that clear, but I did notice that it made my lights brighter, if anybody knows anything about this, please tell me if I did it right, and if anybody knows how to read japanese I have added the pic's of the instruction as well, just add the .orig.jpg to the end to view in a bigger size.

Re: Just installed Pivot super earthing system (Mr. ThunderLips)
your kidding right? people actually pay money for this? whats the point? does it make your car faster? does it make your car look better? it certainly doesnt clean up the engine bay by cluttering all your empty space with colored wires now. im just curious why you would do this?
also how much did this cost? because the money spent on it could have gone to something more cost effective

some guys here on H-T make and sell it.
It serves only one purpose that is to ground the engine. Thats it.
I believe he was selling it for $50 bucks.
there was a long debate on this issue.
some people said there car got faster, while some argued how is that possible by just a couple of wires. Yet there are no dyno plots to prove it.

No proof that it makes your car faster like said above, but i have heard it improves throttle response, keeps the lights from dimming, etc.
I just recently "cleaned" the grounds on my coupe and noticed a similar outcome though...

Import Tuner did a dyno I believe in this month's issue... Didn't show any peak gains, but it smoothed out the power a little, and they said they noticed increased throttle response as well. We all know how reliable IT's power pages are though.
I did my own kit and I'll honestly say it didn't do much for me. I didn't notice the quicker starts, I didn't notice brighter lights... only thing I noticed was slightly more torque down low. But for $10 from my home-made kit, I'm not complaining.
I've heard of people buying the HKS kit and swearing by it's amazing gains... But I find it hard to believe.
Anyway, nice kit...

Almost every month, Turbo & High-Tech Performance mag has dynos of the grounding systems. They show increased power in every test.

Weak, weak. You were saying it didn't function well enough to justify the cost, and now that you know it DOES help, you're trying to cover up your ignorance.

Just a hint, if you don't know what something does, don't give it a thumbs down.

The trick is the design of the connections, and avoiding a ground loop. If you duplicate a designed system with known power gains, you're right, it's just wires.
On the other hand, if you just get under there and throw them around, then you might just get a big fat zero out of what you've done.
