Just got back from the track (drag) - new times
Yup, just got home from the track. It was PACKED cause there's going to be an import show/race on Sunday so I only got to run 5 times in about 4 hours... BOO!
BUT! It was not a total loss...
First run (on street tires at 12.6 psi an 93 octane pump gas):
R/T - 1.673 (didn't care, was more interested in a good launch)
60' - 2.059 (WOOT!)
330 - 5.569
1/8 - 8.301
MPH - 90.01
1000 - 10.644
1/4 - 12.607
MPH - 114.86
Another run - same PSI - against a new WS-6
Me:
R/T - .951
60' - 2.244
330 - 5.742
1/8 - 8.451
1000 - 10.765
1/4 - 12.708
MPH - 115.72
Him:
R/T - .983
60' - 2.023
330 - 5.744
1/8 - 8.736
1000 - 11.277
1/4 - 13.411
MPH - 104.80
MWAHAHAHAHA!! The dude was soooo pissed. The crowd loved it though. You have no idea how many people wanted to see my car after that.. it was awesome.
Now... for some drag radials

Thanks!
Yes, all runs were done on street tires. I don't own any better tires yet...

Re: Just got back from the track (Navid OG)
Nice! If everything goes as planned I'm boostin' my Eg/GSR next year. Then I can give my buddy a run for his money in the STI. Oh, by next year he hopes to be running 7's, lol. Well, mid 8's is still flying!!!!! Sweet numbers!

Re: Just got back from the track (Hybrid93Hatch)
Thanks guys!
Ya, this was my fastest yet. The difference really was that I got tuned for 12.9 psi recently and put another tranny in. I thought I was running a GSR before, but apparently not. This one is from a '96 GSR Sedan. I ALMOST have to shift into 5th at the end. I mean, I am riiiiight at rev limit in 4th when I cross the 1/4.
Tranny helped, and it was SO much colder outside this time. In fact, my last run I took my pass. headlight out. I was running 12.6 psi for my best 2 runs and had tried to push it up to like 13.0 psi, but absolutley couldn't control it. My little FWD car was kicking sideways in 2nd and spinning the tires at the top of 3rd... wow.
Anyway, I took the headlight out, didn't change a single setting on my BC and ended up pushing 13.6 psi... just from allowing that cold air to hit directly onto my filter. It was pretty cool. I only ran a 13.1 that run, but it was SO much more responsive.
The front bumper is stock. That pic on my site was just when I hadn't had it painted yet.
I just put my EG9 Ferio JDM spoiler on last night too. It looks extremely clean on the car.
Thanks again everyone!! I'll keep them domestics coming back for more. haha
After I raced and whoooped the WS6, none of the domestics would race me anymore. Even a couple of the actual race cars (full slicks, nonstreet legal) brushed me off.. w/e.

Re: (johnkimble)
Yeah, we got some quick cars from Pensacola going up to the event in Montgomery tommorow. Look for a yellow turbo CRX on slicks to pull some good times.

Re: Just got back from the track (drag) - new times (westcoaststyle)
good times-especially on street tires!!
just thought i'd chime in with my opinion-you might as well forget about drag radials!i have basically the same motor setup as you,and i'm sure you have traction problems through 1st,2nd and maybe some of 3rd gear.i tried drag radials after i installed my turbo, and they only offered slightly more traction than my normal street tires(and this was only at 7psi).they worked pretty well when i was all-motor,but they just can't can't do anything with the kind of power i now make.....i kind of got out of drag racing for a couple of years, but this past summer i finally bought a pair of M/T 24.5x8x13 slicks.wow, what a difference!of course the car still spun through 1st gear, but it still had way more traction.2nd gear had NO wheelspin......and then the clutch let go
anyways,i'd skip the radials and get some slicks.

Re: Just got back from the track (CodeDawg)
Whats the Deal, i Mean 2.0 is good and your mph is High but why are you only pulling 12.6 I had a friend get a 12.4 with a slightly better 60ft at 111. If you get some slicks I bet you could pull 12.0s
