---JUST got back from the track.....??
Ok..finally got a chance to run my new-installed h22a 98 EX at a track tonight, and being this was my first time, i'm still kinda dissappointed at my times.. Keep in mind i've NEVER ran at a track, but i Need some real advice and pointers..
Now it was only a 1/8 mile track, so 1/4 times are out the window. But my best out of 5 runs was a 9.013 @ 81mph.
Now, I obviously do have a h22a in my Heavy *** EX, BUT, shouldn't it be a little better time? My MAIN PROBLEM was hooking up. I'm running a 65 NX shot on it with my RacingHart 18's with Falken FK451 tires. So i coudn't spray it in first gear at all....
So what about slicks? Anyone have any suggestions as far as what kinda plus would i get out of some slicks?? I'm fixing to go back OEM with my "Riced" out Bodykit supporting ride, so i'm hopefully gonna go down to some black 16's, or maybe stock Si wheels. So is there a Semi-Drag radial out there that is street legal, that i can drive on the road regularly, BUT STILL get great hookup as opposed to my 18's???
Help a fellow Honda owner increase his track time PLEASE!!

what kinda axles are you running? if you arent running custom axles and you want to run slicks,..be ready to snap em especially with a 65 shot

Well i mean, i had to upgrade to the Hasport axles anyway when i did the h22 swap. They're rated at 280hp i think. Will they snap with slicks probably??

See,, we've got some 15 inch steel wheels (2 of em) that i guess we can put some mickey thompson slicks or something on them for when i simply GET to the track. But i was also wondering if someone out there makes a sorta Drag-Radial that'll actually be SAFE on the road, with some descent tred wear?? Maybe Nitto??
Oh yea...so these 18's probably hurting me in the power range? I was told that hondas loose 7hp with 17's, and actually 12hp with 18's. Ever heard of that?? Thanks peeps.
