Default just bought a 97 Ex coupe....no more issues but heres my progress

hey everyone im not a new honda-tech member but i am new to 97 civic ex.
ok i got this 97 EX coupe yesterday. i drove it all day today and have small issues. im mainly hangin out in the EF pages but now im here. here are my problem areas...
1. sunroof doesnt slide or pop open.
2. driver side headlight doesnt light up. i want to check the fuses but the fuse box is cover missing. if some one could point out to me which position its in and what size fuse to replace i would appreciate it.
thats pretty much it. other than that the car drives perfect. thanks again everyone.

PS i already checked out the headlight and it was a fuse that was blown out. so i replaced it so hopefully that should do it for the light. thanks.

If the moonroof motor is making noise, remove the plastic guards and glass/frame nuts so you can pop the glass out (do not misplace the shims or forget where each go. You probably need to clean and grease the tracks.

Yah check for loose connections and what ^^He said. Congrads on buying an EJ8 and one thing to look out for is that the hood release handle is real easy to break so be careful and don't put any muscle into it.

pull the handle near the top, instead of the bottom and it'll never snap

I found out the hard way. Went to give someone a jump one day, I was in a hurry and quickly grabbed the bottom of it. Now I always grab where it connects.

You should replace the fuse cover to keep everything clean in there.

Yah I did on my car. It cost about 12-14$. You could follow the route of it. I didn't take my front bumper off to change. You could also if you wanted take this chance to relocate your hood release cable while your at it. For a little added security maybe?

ok. i have fixed the sunroof. and done these upgrades....
1. swapped the 1996-1998 ex tails with amber for the red/white 99-00 tails;
2. took off he stock steelies with hub caps and added on my flat black hx rims.

currently awaiting my ctr style black housing headlights, and type R style front lip.
after that i will be lowering the car 1-1.5 inches. any suggestions on wat type of style spring or coil over set up would be good. will add pics of current settup.

i would put a few kill switches on it. Cause EX models are good for parts here in cali. i know cause thats what happen to my buddy. They stole his car and took everything that was electric in his car. Spen some good money on security for your car.

Damn $2,800 is a damn good deal! Can we see some under the hood shots, I understand if not. I have this EXACT model. I can tell you that be careful of the windows. I had the problem where I left my window half way up, and I shut my door to hard and it popped off the track, easy fix but easier to just not let it happen. I did some research and it is a common problem. If you put an after market radio in, the dome light wont work when you open the door. Its a security glitch, alot of info on it here on HT. I did a write up on how to change and flush the coolant on this car, its up in the sticky thread of FAQ's if you ever need it. I have had this car for I think two years and one month and got it with 117K and it now has 166K. Burns oil, but I keep her happy. OH and one last thing, I did not see where you live but if you do any suspension work escpecially on the rear and it was exposed to salt or winter conditions some of the bolts are the BIGGEST PITA to get off. Nice pick up man!!

well i dont think i have to worry too much about salt cuz i live in northern area of cali. but under hood shots i can do. its completely bone stock car, well aside from a crappy ebay intake. yea im gonna take some good interrior pics. later on in the week, it started raining today. im just waitin on my type r lip n ctr style headlights to come in and then ill take more shots after im done.
