Jrsc runing 9psi ???
Hi, I have installed a JRSC on a 00 civic si and put on you basic kit no boost upgrade or any thing like that and the pulley they give you is a 6psi pulley. I have insatalled a clutch masters flywheel and stage 3 clutch and your basic bolts on that you can do. all upgraded fuel supply with an AEM fuel rail BM fuel pressure regulator, and a walbro 255 fuel pump. Can any one tell me why my boost gage reads 9psi when is a 6psi pulley. Any help would be great.
Hey it is not like i am complaining on having 9psi vs. 6psi just first time with boost and have a few questions like where the extra 3psi came from.
I think i may have the answer...Is it because of the flywheel spining faster?

I thought that JR had 'boost upgrade' kits that came with a smaller pulley.. that bumped the psi to 8-9 instead of six. Maybe you got one of those instead...
Smaller pulley = faster spinning supercharger = more air forced into the engine = more psi

Re: (airborne84000)
why would you get a higher psi number at higher elevation? Higher elevation = less dense air = less atmospheric pressure. At sea level, 14.7psi is what a N/A engine runs, but at higher alt. its less, making less power. Explain your logic
