Trust me dude, you will love the available torque that a supercharger will offer. I hear that they are great for daily drivin. 40% hp increse from off idle to max rpm. The cams will do some good too, but you may loose idle quality, and you will have to do some tuning to get the power you want.

Cams= track power
SC= driveabilty

JUst my opionion. Of corse the sc will cost more, but if you ask they will do more as well.

superchargers and b16's dont go together....its power but it sucks...the torque sucks and top end aint all that great.... stick with N/A if you not gonna turbo the b16....

if your motor is stock, don't get jun 3's. a guy here with an si barely gained power with those. u need high compression and head work to actually get anything out of them is what he told me. they are just too big for a stock motor. he got the valve springs and retainers to go with it too. if you aren't doing anymore motorwork right now then u don't really need the jun 3's. i wouldn't get an SC either though.

Both are ok choices, I voted JunIII's, lets say you have a 200whp JRSC b16 civic, and a 200whp all motor civic...they all motor civic will romp on the supercharged one from what I've seen...

Regardless, I would spend the money on a b20 or b18 block, and some pistons and rods. That will make a HUGE difference! I'd rather do that anyday.

If you do the cams, I would also do the valves, valve springs , retainers , Apex AFR for tuning...gains from that will almost be about the same ballpark as JRSC...price wise, that depends if you can get those for sale or not... that may be a factor too, maybe you can do one first then do the other later...I really like the JRSC but then again I like the cams...I would rather do the JRSC just b/c i like the whinding noise once it gets going, IMO...hehehehe

what's that?

oh and I've never test drove a jun b16, but a friend of mine has a JRSC on his 99 Si and it really does feel nice. It's perfect for street applications. It has gobbs more torque than a stck b16(I know that for sure). It's a toss up really. I would probably stick to N/A though.

man the torque on a b16 with a jrsc is just a lil more than on a sohc motor....its trash for the b16 not as impressive as the greddy 18g kit....with 10-12psi you barely breakin the 14's in a si coupe....dude whose theard this is stick with the N/A and if you do go JRSC remember to put your clutch in b4 you put the charge on or you gonna have to pull the charger off again to put on the clutch....btw its a pain in the *** to work on a jrsc on a b16

it all depends on how much you can get either one of them for IMO. I know the cams go for around 900 and the SC is around 2,400-2,600. I dont understand why you would compare the two anyway. The cams are good...but only if you have a built motor. In a stock b16 you wont notice much gains. If your getting the SC used and really cheap...I'd go for the SC. I got one 2 years ago for $900. I've sold it since. It was fun to drive.. certainly worth the 900 I bought it for.... but after riding in it... I know I wouldnt have paid more then 1,300 for the thing if I didnt get such a good deal. I'd go with the SC if you can get it cheap... the cams are good only if you build the motor. And in a B16....its not going to be fast anyway.
How many of you remember SCC... 2 years ago they had a Si challenge.. and had all that JUN stuff and had Papadakis pilot it I think... and best was like 14.2 or something.. thats with like 10K in mods.

supercharged all the instant power and good amount of torque my friend has a GSR integra with a JRSC and he ran a 13.8 before with out slicks i'm sure a b16a in a hatch supercharged can do the same or at least close to it.

p.s. he's smoke a F355 on the freeway ican show u a clip if someone can tell me how to cut out a clip off my video camera and put it on the site. thanks
