well I was thinking the same but I wanted to weld up a small pipe to the cutout and put a small little muffler tip on it, so it will sound somewhat nice.. instead of open header... you know what I mean? and it dont look like the electric supports that

it wouldn't be, they're easier to install but take longer to open/close...

WHat do you guys think about this?
I was wondering if a Electric would let me do this..
I really dont like the sound of open header, with a small muffler tip it still would be loud... but it will muffle the noise a BIT

A tip wont make a diff... but it will make the noise sound better IMO

Would it make it more effective to run 2 of these? One right in front of the other, so that when you open the cut-out section, you close off the one in front so that ALL the gasses exited through the open section. Does anyone get what I'm saying? Maybe I need to draw a diagram.

i know what you mean. that's why i'm asking if the air flows to the other end of if it stops. guess you answered my question.
wouldn't be that effective if the air keeps going out to the muffler and also exiting to the side.

Re: (Unjockable)
the exhaust air is going to find the fastest way out in general the cut-out part is a larger diameter and of course much shorter thus reducing the back pressure so 99% of the exhaust will go out the cut-out and not through your primary exhaust

Re: (Soccerking3000)
I've heard conflicting stories about each different type of cut-out.
The cable one gets knotted and the electric one doesn't shut all the way. They are sweet though.Good Luck.

Re: (SearchBeforeUPost!)
Why are you even thinking about putting a muffler on your e cutout. You aren't going to be running around with it open all the time, so who cares if it is loud for a short period of time.. If you are that concered with the volume level, just stick with you exhaust.
