Default JDM swap and NJ state inspection

This question is for all the NJ people... has anyone PASSED a state inspection with a swap and a JDM ECU? Specifically, the setup I'm considering is an OBD2a JDM P72 running a JDM B18C GSR in a 00 Civic.

I'm debating as to whether or not I should attempt to run an OBD2a USDM P72 in its place after making the changes necessary for it not to throw a code or run like crap. I already have a secondary O2 and I can tap the CKP for the CKF since there is no crank fluctuation sensor.

Any comments on the lack of a VTEC oil pressure switch and what to tap to make it work? Or is there anything else I'm forgetting?

If I stay with the JDM ECU, is there any way to make use of the Evap purge solenoid already on the vehicle, and if so, what does it need to be wired to? The motor had a smaller purge canister that came with it, but (1) it's much much smaller , and (2) it wasn't wired up. Comments?

Probably not.

I'm from NY and NJ and NY are pretty much identical as far as laws go. Here's the deal, you're ODB-II so they're going to run emissions tests. JDM doesn't have any emissions laws so none of their cars have any emissions devices (such as cats). Though it is possible if there's anything on there the ECU that controls any kind of emissions...blah.

Try it, if worse comes to worse, you fail it.
