damn bumnah, that is a very nice ride. is your heater control functional and how hard was it to wire that mo fo? what is the difference between the jdm and usdm taillights? and one last question, how did you wire it up so only the headlights come on and the blinker only comes on when signaled?

yeah I waas wondering about the climate control also. I have a 2000si gauge cluster in my 93 and just got my climate control unit so I could have the matching amber glow. I haven't had time to see if it is plug and play yet. I know I am SOL regarding the heating cooling control since mine is cable operated. But hopefullly the rest of the stuff hooks up, including the defroster control, I hope.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm starting to get very weary of all the JDM hype going around. I mean, why spend twice or three times as much for MAYBE 20 hp?

Let's see....
JDM EG6 Cluster
JDM Clock
JDM Climate controls (not in yet... too lazy)
JDM Clear corners (US headlights - shine better with HIDs)
JDM Taillights
JDM B20B motor (coming out next week... in going a JDM H22A SiR-spec motor w/LSD tranny)
JDM-looking wheels, CF wing, shift ****, etc.... blah, blah, blah

Did I pay high $$$ for these things? Hell no! I either got this stuff dirt cheap or for free... otherwise I wouldn't have spent that much on little chit like that. And compared to sitting in my roommate's LS/VTEC 94 Civic coupe, I like the orange dash look much better

Newman, nice
There is another guy in Houston.TX with the exact same ride except his color is S2K silver.
Where can you source the JDM EG corners?
[Modified by MiGs, 2:42 AM 9/13/2001]
Thanks... but my car IS s2000 silver... just bad lighting there (dunno why it looks more bronze than silver). If you look at it in person, some say it looks charcoal, some say gunmetal, some say dark silver... just depends on how the light hits it... pretty cool actually

As for putting an EK cluster (USDM Si for that matter) into an EG, it's kinda a wiring project that one needs to take on since it does not plug right in. Plus, it's not a direct bolt-in project, but can be modded easily to fit.... a guy I know did a GSR cluster into his EG coupe..... he made custom brackets to hold it in place, I wired it up for him. I needed the plugs from the GSR cluster and wires coming out so I could splice them all up... wasn't hard at all, just want to make sure you get the correct wires connected up the first time... saves from headaches later on..... but it's basically the same procedure as putting an EK cluster into an EG.

My car is almost exactly like yours. Except its a hatch. But I do have JDM schtuff. Cusco front and rear strut bars.

F JDM, what a waste of money. Spend it on go-fast goodies. A gauge cluster will only make you think you are going faster-but your really not.

SkyeC I asked for JDM LOVERS and FANS TO POST no JDM haters. if you aint got the ***** to post pics of your ride dont Hate. JDM is not STOCK on BLACK WHEELS.
JDM is a form on Tuning that is all about FORM AND FUNCTION. Every product has a purpose to serve.
As far as alot of money on TRUE JDM products is a waste? NEVER !!! JDM products fit amazing compared to US companies. Japanese R&D surpasses 90% of USDM Compaines. compaines like Spoon, Toda,Jun, are true JDM tuners.
everyone who posted pics of there rides props to you! keep the tuning going!
Those who hate on us we wil see you at the Track Drag/AutoX and i will still pick my girl up in it tonight!

I love the way JDM looks, and fits. Differences are big, and small at the same time.
I got my JDM stuff through a hookup in Japan, so it came out pretty cheap.

Anyways..

I didn't put the JDM climate control in. I put just the face, and the amber bulbs in my climate control. JDM looks, USDM practicality. I wish I did have climate control though .

anyways keep up the JDM fellas

actually scraping its not bad at all, happened only about 3x times in about 3x months of driving and 15k km...so its not that bad....

piping is 60mm, its a RSR EXMAG GTII N1, straight through definatly some power increase, will see this week on a dyno...if all goes well

Back in the day when I had Z.Speed RnRs in silver.

Then I got black Z.Speed RnRs. I had Tanabe suspension. That piece of "JDM" was total crap.

Oh, this is my OG Mugen steering wheel and an EG9 cluster. I've since sold the cluster because I could think of better things to do with the $250 I got from
selling it on Ebay.

I bought some cheap HX wheels and put Falken Azenis tires on them. The tires were sold in Japan long before the USA. Is that JDM?

Then I painted the wheels black. No I didn't spend $$$ on powdercoating a $100 set of wheels, I spent $5 on Krylon. Maybe it was JDM Krylon!

Not all Japanese products are about form and function, there's a lot of useless crap out there, just like American products. JDM products fit amazing? That's why several people I know with true Spoon duckbills had to shave them quite a bit to get them to fit right, hm? Japanese R&D surpasses 90% of American companies? Where do you come up with those stats and amazing theory?

I guess I'll "keep the tuning going."

And what does your girl have to do with anything? I have one too?

Oh, here's my motor. JDM DC 4-1 ITR header. One of the originals from a guy in DC Sports in Cali. Aren't I awesome? No.

14.01@98.97 in a '92 Civic Si. (B18C1, AEM, JDM 4-1, 2.5" cat, GReddy SP)

Let me know when that $800 Mugen valvecover Functions for it's expensive Form. LOL.
