JDM GSR Hatch Owners!
This might seem like a question that has been answered before, but i tried looking and came up with nothing.
I am just wondering if anyone can give me the measurments for a test pipe for an eg hatch with a gsr motor. I want to have it made so i can put it on rather than drive up to a local shop with just my header and leave it with them
If you can give me this info that would be great oterwise dont post!

Re: JDM GSR Hatch Owners! (Si-G93)
Measure your stock civic cat and add about 1.5" to that length That is roughly the gap that you are left with when comparing the GSR header to where the stock Civic cat should be (if you dont lenghten anything you have to pull your exhaust system forward that 1.5" and it hits stuff on the underside of the car and it's annoying). My friend had this problem with his GSR motor so I have personally seen the gap.

appreciate the post. Not sure though if i will take the chance, but then again I would hate to leave it at a broke down exhaust place with a newly installed gsr motor

If you get a header for a 99-00 Si, there will be no gap to mess with.

Thanks for the advice, but i thought you were guessing
If you are certain that all i ahve to do is add 1.5 inches to my cat and tell them to make it that length and it will mate up without any further mod. Then i will do it.
Please let me know though if you have pics Thanks again

_______
Right because you probably had the correct test pipe so it eliminated the gap. Thats what i am trying to figure out so i dont have to drop it off at soem joe schmo muffler shop with my newly swaped motor

i have a question. about that 1.5 inch gap. if you swap a jdm b18c1 or jdm b18c R motor motor into a 92-95 civic hatch dx, cx, or si, your saying that the stock manifold and down pipe will not bolt up to the stock cat and exhaust piping of the civic?? i thought that it would all bolt up just fine.. with no gaps
