hello, i just need ur feedbacks, opninions, your experiences with jdm front clip.

i have a usdm 93 del sol si, im thinking about ordering a jdm rhd front clip from eg sir with b16 and lsd tranny. i do not really need the body of front clip but i would like to get rid of it once i swap the motor on del sol.

What? Then what's the point of getting a front clip?

So your saying you are getting rid of the RHD clip and just getting the trans from it? And selling the clip?

If so...just do it and post the clip on HT marketplace. Or Craigslist.

Still seems kind of odd! LoL...can't you just find a LSD trans?

I don't see where he said he was going to sell it. He just said he doesn't need it in the first place.

This is what made me assume he was going to sell it....i figured he was trying to market it on here and maybe ask a price or something???

Or maybe asking if he should just go ahead and install the RHD clip??? It's a bit confusing to me...

right, i need to carlify it again. i do actually want to sell the rhd front clip after removing engine and trans, and all the things i need to run my del sol. all the rest will stay on front clip for sale.. what im trying to say is. is it worth it? the way i look at it. its cheaper to buy front clip and part them out.

How do you figure it's cheaper? Just want to hear your reasoning and figures behind that if you don't even know how much to sell the remains of a RHD clip for. You can get a JDM engine and transmission from HMO and save yourself the hassle.

BTW there's a value thread at the top of the forum where you should have posted.

Just pull the engine and trans and put it in your sol....don't think you would need anything else from the RHD clip...use harness from your current engine and chassis harness from current car. And ECU from the RHD clip if it comes with it.

As far as it being worth it...I don't know what your paying for the whole gig? I mean you can find a good b16 w/ lsd for around 2-3K.

well look at the difference price between what you will have for $2800 on front clip (you get everything stock on front flip) and what you dont get for $2000 on eng and trans alone without, ecu, front suspensions, brake, harness, mounts, axles, and all that ****. would be spending another thousand dollars to get my del sol running. and for profits i can make off from front clip, my 2 cents

Dubious you will make that much since people that do RHD conversions already have a clip. The only thing that would be worth anything after you've stripped it would be the firewall. Maybe the dash if your clip has it.

well, i just spoke to the company from jdmtigerjapenese auto, they told me that they cant send me the front clip since usa banned them. i find it very nonsense. they said they will be required to take apart the dash, steering wheel, body kits and all the panels on front clip for same price. such rip off.

Tiger Japanese? I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Hit and miss service reported over the years.

Here's another dubious company. Hit them up for prices that are too good to be true.
