Figured it was pretty obvious. :shrugs:

Have you tried it with a stock ECU by any chance? They do seem a little low for your mods.

the tuner is very reputable in ireland. has produced massive horsepower on some cars. however, these are gtr skylines and lancer evolutions. i just got the vibe that he didnt have much interest in a "small fry" sir civic. althought he did spend bout 4 hours with it.
i dunno,im just dissapointed. with the cams and evrything else i was hoping or over 150 hp anyway. i think the torque is the most dissapointing part. anyone have any figures to compare with?

when i bought the s100,i asked could it adjust vtec x/over,he said it could. however the tuner said that it could not. then when i was leaving,i didnt get to hit vtec for bout 30 mins coz of traffic and to my amazement the vtec cut in at 5200. it used to be 6000. so either he was lying or just didnt know what he was doing.so now im thinking that the vtec x/over is in the wrong place because he might not have purposely set it at 5200 if he didnt know he could??!!??

Well torque you'll never really gain.

This was my B16 setup if you want to compare:

174whp, 109lbs/tq on a Dynojet

stock block
head milled .020
Skunk2 stage 2 cams/skunk2 cam gears, supertech VS/retainers
AEBS IM w/Hondata gasket
Mugen copy 4-1 header
2.5" crush bent piping no cat
fake J's racing intake
stock fuel pump/injectors
B&M FPR
chipped P28 tuned with a VAFC2

jesus, that really trounces my whp. makes me feel a little better about my torque tho. but thats a nice whp figure. in retrospect i think i should have gone with stage 1 pro cams or even stage 2 and spent the extra few bucks. and upgraded the valve train. i think i could have seen nicer torque gain if i had done so. NIce set up you got there though, yuo were obviously happy with that i take it?

I would just stick with your Stage 1s. Only reason I used stage 2s was because my head was milled (so I had a little more compression) and I was planning on going 1.8l in the future. Don't go Pro series. Those are too crazy for your simple setup.

Actually I wasn't that happy. Sure the numbers looked great, but my car still felt slow. I ran a 14.7 with a 2.3 60'.

I'd say your biggest problem is the header and tune. Get at least a JDM DC ITR 4-1 (or a replica to that) or a Toda Header. Even with that setup you should be able to get around 152whp range.

kool, will take that into consideration. i'll try and post up the dyno sheet,my torque curve looks very eratic, dipping all over the place. might try your suggested mods and bring it to another tuner. anyway, gotta go to work. thanks for all the input, mucho appreciato

I figured it was pretty obvious because of....

thanks, that was i nice tidy little build. i wonder if i get a cat-back exhaust sytem would it make much of a difference? the main reason i havent done this already is i just dont want a really loud car. possibly get the head milled and P&P,that along with the exhaust might increase the flow nicely. anyone suggest any decent exahusts? what are DC sports like? there is a distributor for them very close to me.
