he's talking about 160WHP.. so thats probably about 180-190 HP at the crank. good luck trying to hit 160whp on a SOHC going all motor without spending tons of money. one thing you can try tho is to get a custom tranny with shorter gearing. light car + short gearing =

dude stfu....

anyways if you wanna make 160 whp on a budget, talk to builthatch. He's making close to those numbers with a smooth torque curve and he didn't spend a fortune doing so. I remember a guy on d-series.org hit 150 whp on a mustang dyno and his d motor is far from being "built."

Honestly though, for an all motor d, around 140 whp should be a realistic goal. Start with an ex tranny (preferably a y8 one) and work your way up from there.

Bullshit. Bull ******* ****. d15 needs mods to break 100hp on a mustang dyno. 150hp? had to be 'built.' You NA SOHC g4ngstaz are living in a fantasy world. grow up

For 160whp you are looking to spend $$$$$$. look though d-series.org & you'll see. Boost is your best & cheapest bet.

Im running 7-8 psi garret boost with intercooler, stock internals, missing link, and an exhaust on my d15b7 and it still aint that quick. If you're gonna turbo a d, do it because you like the sound and feel of boost and want a bit of good acceleration on tap.

i dont know about you but my turbo D feels pretty quick. 200whp on 7psi. turbo is the only way to go on a D-series.

I would change out that dc 4-2-1 header to a bisimoto race header
and chip that p28 you have and get tuned after all of your mods. Also, your going to need to port out your head and upgrade your valvetrain with a crower stage 3.

I would pm br1anpham on this board because his last setup was a all motor sohc. His crower stage 3 cam, bisimoto header, tuning made his sohc feel pretty peppy. It was a gsr killa, haha

my sohc z6 wich is pretty close to the d15b , puts down 160whp @ 5psi on the greddy kit....

i tried all motor with my z6 and to be honest , i dont think that it was worth it at all...i wasnt near 160whp like your trying to get to , but for about the same amount of money i wasted tryng to go n/a i could have saved it and accomiplished my goal quicker with 5psi of boost..

with bolts you will not have 140 WHP maybe a turbo bolt on but now from intake header and exhaust.
