EK JDM Clusters / Door Ajar

Looking at this DIY (http://www.jimmmmmmmah.com/Install/D...00%20Civic.htm), and I have a question. Does anyone know if the JDM cluster requires adding the diode? I am currently running the SiR cluster from the EK4 and I would guess that it has the diode already unlike the USDM ones. Anyone know without having to pull the cluster to take a look?

Also anyone else know what the blue dummy light is up in that same general area? It looks like its something with "Heat" rising off it.

It's the Catalytic Converter warming up icon. I didn't know Civics had them. I know 96 spec JDM ITR clusters had them as well as the Integra Si VTEC (SiR-G) clusters.

Yup. That is surely what that icon is. I just didnt know for sure. My cluster is from a 97 SiR hatch. I wonder how you hook it up so it works.

Still looking for answer regarding this diode.

Can someone post a picture of the blue catalytic converter light? I've never seen this and am interested.

Here Ricey, this is for a 96 spec JDM ITR. Same icon, except it isn't blue.
