Default JDM clock/radio

since i've bought my 92 civic, the radio never kept its memory such as the preset radio stations, etc... i just picked up a JDM clock, and the clock always resets everytime i turn off the car.... seems to not have a constant to it.. oh, the radio is the stock Civic cassette also.. anyone have this problem?
