jdm civic type r cam shafts
can the type r civic cam shafts from the b16b engine be put directly into a b16a engine from a civic sir without upgrading the valve springs

i had heard you didnt need to change the springs either the engine aint mine its one i was asked to do the work on i had recommended the springs be changed but then heard it could be done as a straight swop but not to sure if it was going to cause problems not upgrading the valve train

do you know of anyone that has had problems from alot of redlining without upgrading valve train cause i dont think this car will be getting drove easy and i dont vthink the owner wants the expence of upgrading the valve train

I ran ctr cams for over a year, before I sold them, I never swapped out any springs or retaniers, you know have to check if they are real ctr cams right, (all cams are marked on the dizzy side) also just stay out of the 9's and you'll be ok I used to beat on those all day back and forth to work, good luck

i have civic type r cams in my crx.. i upgraded the springs tho.. it wouldnt hurt to atleast have dual valve springs on both sides..
