According to Edmunds, there is a 7 lb. difference in curb weight between a '98 EX coupe and sedan.

If you get a good deal on the b16, go for it.
Zippy little motor with good gearing.
Any future mods require turbo manifolds though,

to the o.p., what about a b16 in a sedan is wierd? a lot of people do it, people have put b16's in pretty much every civic up till '01. not a bad setup at all

Yes, a B16 will lack torque, just like any other lower displacement Honda motor. However, if you just want a sporty ride that has an easy swap, go for it. If you're really worried about torque balancing out your four door, it may be worth looking into H and H2B swaps.
