No clue. My car has blank off in both of those spots but Ive always wondered. Let me check my owners manual. Hopefully it wont be all text.

EDIT:
Just checked but nothing shows that button. Maby it could have something to do with the gathers cd changer.

It's for that little green parking antenna. I've only seen them like twice in pictures.

its for when you are parking your car against a wall or something,...its a antenna that goes on your front bumper to let you know where your front bumper is ending at,...so you dont hit another car that is in front of you or hit a wall or parking block,..its the new "JDM" thing,..personally i think its ugly,..but hey what do i know,..i have a widebody kit hehe

so it's more of a "guiding stick" than an antenna?

exactly.

at the press of the button, it erects, and a little green light lights up at the top. hit the button again, and it retracts back into the bumper.

my friend got one on his rhd xsi. so fun to play with

Heh, yup. I actually have a few of those laying around here that came on a bunch of JDM center consoles. A couple of people told me they were for the bumper antenna, but whatever.

wrong

its for regular motorized antennaes for your radio. the 87-88 accords have that button in the armrest area and when you depress it it makes the power antenna for your radio extend or retract. who told you that there was a antennae guide for parking??? find a pic of it to prove me wrong please.

Then why would it say half? The symbol is for an antenna, but the half thing gets me. Its not a three position switch, I.E. Down, HAlf, Up
