You can get a lot of useful info if you read the numbers. Engine type and displacement, gear ratios, shiet like that.
Also in the url, replace civic with integra for the teg history.

JDM Steelies The one with steelies is a factory stripped CTR I guess...they probably sell them to race teams and what not. Go to http://www.altavista.com and go to translate, then japanese to english, then paste that URL in

somebody from work was just telling me he saw a special on the history of Honda, but he can't remember what channel it was on. Has anybody seen this? I did a search on the web and only found that History Channel did a whole show on the NSX, i might buy that also. If anybody wants me to post the link to purchase the NSX video let me know

WTF, they released a 4 door R too,
nice find man, good site!
That super-base-model CivicTypeR is a JDM only track special / spec racer sold to people that want to start with a blank slate to upgrade... yes it even comes with 15" steelies since they know you will put on the specified size racing rims for the class.. COOL right? If only they even offered just that base base base CTR model in the US it would have sold shitloads, especially with autocross/drag and track racing becoming so prevalent!
WHATS INSANE?---> they had an All Wheel Drive, B16 VTEC sedan!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Japanese Civic History page.... Cool! (TEAM JSJ)
wish i can read that ****
Goto http://babelfish.altavista.com/
Cut and paste the honda link above into the section "Translate A Web Page"
Then Select "Japanese to English" in the drop down menu. Then press translate.
Alternatively, I have found this one to work better most of the time. Do EXACTLY as I say...
Goto http://www.excite.co.jp/world/url/
In the green box, paste the same honda URL
IMPORTANT PART
Below the green box, there are 2 radio buttons and a drop down box.
SELECT THE SECOND RADIO BUTTON.
Then press the button in the orage box.
Once the page loads, click the links, and it will continue to translate anything it can to english. Everything should be translated EXCEPT graphics and Phonic words. These are words that dont exist in Japanese so they use the sounds of Kanji to sound the words out. These words are usually left in ALL caps, and if you sound them out, you can sometimes figure out what they are trying to say.
Then enjoy the most hacked up Engrish you have ever read, here is a sample.
The CIVIC TYPE R which poured the technology which is cultivated with the circuit, into the marketing car. Calling tuning, most in the territory where know-how is required, HONDA technology and passion bear fruit.
Per liter it actualizes 116 horsepower with the natural inhalation engine. It loads the B16B 98 spec.R engine. In addition the MOMO corporation tanning volumen steering wheel and the ƒŒƒJƒ corporation make bucket seat (the front), the item of running such as titanium make shift **** is equipped.
