Jap To UK Imports
Hey,
I was just wondering what are the best sites to import a civic? All the sites I have been on are mainly EK9 and integra imports. Can you import the em1 civic coupe? ( The vti or Si depending on what counrty you live in )
There are not many Vti coupe's left in the UK that are in good condition. I figure, there must be loads in Japan...

There are loads of Jap import places in the UK, I see Ads in the UK import mags
in every issue. Or just find out some info and get a coupe from Canada (SIR) or the States (Si) and get it Imported. But after paying all the fees your better off buying a Type R Hatch for way less.

Do you want to know how many EM1 coupes are left in Japan that weren't imported there?
Zero. Zilch. Zip.
You'll have better luck finding one in the UK.
Oh, and they're also called the SiR in Canada and Mexico (Si in the US and VTi in the UK).
Remember that in the event you were to buy a car from overseas (America, Canada or Japan or whatever), you're going to pay the cost of the car in the first place (expect $8,000-$9,000, $6,500 low, $12,000 tops for an American Si coupe), shipping and customs. Customs is going to kill you.
The only '96-'00 Civic coupe I'm aware of being sold originally in Japan is the EJ6, Civic STD coupe. In the US it's known as the HX coupe. It has a 1.6L SOHC VTEC-E.
