Default J30A4 EK

This started as a D16 auto and went to B18C1 manual to B20 to this. I wanted to do this swap as a fun daily driver, so here it is. It's bad dirty, and I need to clean it up... My bro-in-law is going to help me build a cowl for the hood.

So far:
2003 Accord J30A4
Accord transmission
Accord ECU
V6 shifter and cables w/custom mounting plates
Hasport EKJ1 mounts
Insaneshafts axles
Mishimoto fan
Ebay PCD's
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Aeromotive fpr
DC2 subframe
H&R OE sport springs
Koni orange struts
Rear disc conversion
Integra knuckles
2000 ITR/Prelude calipers
2004 TSX pads
2007 Mini Cooper 11" rotors

Didn't really have one, just wanted to post this for progress. But since you mentioned it... Speedometer is off about 10mph. I'm not familiar enough with its internal circuitry, but can it be adjusted using a potentiometer?

Sweet!

I thought one of the tuner magazines stuffed a J in an EG?

It's been done many times now. There are off the shelf mount options available from Hasport, as well as axles from DSS/Insane Shafts.

There's even a couple AWD, turbo, J series EG cars.

That would be pretty much insane...

Yeah, it's kind of an old hat now; but nobody around here really messes with Hondas, let alone a J-swap. I'm kind of alone in Honda stuff in my part of the world. 😢

Im sure there are plenty of EG's running around elsewhere with these. I think Mr. Gillespie has an EG with a supercharger. Google streak freak Civic?

So... does anyone have an idea about using a potentiometer to adjust the speedometer?

Thanks, Hasport. I had emailed the Mad Hatter before about this, but I didn't really get the reply that I had thought I needed at the time. I'll call them Monday, I suppose.

PS: Thanks again for your mounts, for the email correspondence helping me with my installation issues (which were majorly my fault), and for helping me troubleshoot my axle binding problem. I wish I had gone with Hasport axles after dealing with your customer service.

Does anybody know anything about "Techna Fit" braided line? It's the only thing I can find to replace the rubber section of my clutch line other than rubber. Lol

It's supposed to be pvc coated, but I feel kinda iffy about it being it's $25...

Well, apparently Techna-Fit is ok... But idk which would fit. All the rubber part#s for the TL, Accord (3.0 &2.4), and TSX are all the same, but Techna-Fit's numbers have the TL different from the others... I'd like one a tad shorter than what I have as the CV boot nearly rubs it!

The TL has a 9 at the end of their part# while the others have an 11. I wonder if that means the Techna-Fit TL line is around 9" and the others around 11"? 11.31" is what Dorman has them listed as.

Progress rear sway bar kit came in today. Thanks FedEx! I got me some GSR seats yesterday and swapped over the rails from the Civic. Gonna take a break from work and drop off them and my Civic back seats at the upholstery shop.

Maybe it'll install pretty fast. Looks simple enough.
Integra seats!

Oil looks to be leaking from between the pump housing and the block. I need to look at it better to be sure it's not between the top of the spool valve gasket and oil pump housing. I know it's not the vtec solenoid and not my fittings for my oil sender and light. If it's between the pump and block, I'll have to drop the engine to remove the pump for resealing. I almost did that before I put the engine in... But NO, just had to make more work for myself.

Thank you. Go for it! That engine is a good choice, and I think an LSD can be added to that transmission later if so be that you desire it.
