I've got some cooling problems :/
Here's my setup:
92 civic stock bottom and top end d15b7 with Custom turbo kit at 4 p.s.i, complete exhaust, and uberdata basemap (now).
Listing of ****
#1- Erratic/high idle; it doesn't seem to do it on warm(above 70 deg.) days though... maybe it''s related to problem 2...
#2- I think I blew my headgasket, because there is a little oil leaking between the head and block. Would that make me overheat? There is no mixture of oil and coolant, so it cant be that bad, BUT it's bad enough. I'm just waiting for my arp headstuds and gasket to come in. HERE's the catch; when I saw the temp go up, I pulled over and looked in the engine bay, the upper radiator hose was bulging(wtf?), so I covered my self and hands well, then squeezed the clamp with a pair of pliers, and a shitload of coolant and steam gushed out.
Question; which way does the coolant flow?.. is leaving from the block through the upper hose, or going into the block? What could be stopping the flow like that? I haven't yet changed the themostat, but has anyone else had these problems?
Next thing about the cooling. anybody ever use a 30x8x3 FMIC, and did it stop the radiator from getting cooled?... but still the problem remains, the upper radiator hose is bulging

UPDATE:
O.k, I got a full exhaus, changed my headgasket, not running turbo, head and block were not warped, got new o.e.m. radiator, got new thermostat, flushed cooling system, got new headstuds and torqued them right. I'm still having overheating problems!, My temp just goes up and I have to shut it down so I don't overheat.... and I relocated the FMIC
What could be the problem? The only thing I haven't changed is the radiator cap, and that is the type NAPA sells.

I haven't heard it rattling, so I guess it's fine

Well, it turned out I hadn't bled the cooling system well enough. So it's been okay. I have a GSR radiator I'm thinking to put in and help cool the engine under extreme conditions, like track days and hot days. Have any of you guys put one into a civic? If you did, where did you put the a/c evaporator, and mount the fans?
