ITR Muffler? install??
Ok i have in my possession an ITR muffler from axle back. Only prob is that when my fren took it for me to the muffler place, they sed it doesn't bolt up because the stock suspension is in the way.
How did neone else with the same setup get around this?
did u just reweld the muffler to new pipping, and if possible does neone have pics of what they did?

trust me it will bolt on. I had one on my 95 civic coupe for about a year and a half. the only mod I needed was to add a extra hanger on front of the muffler similar to the stock civic exhaust. the muffler shop don't no what the f*%k they're talking about.
stock suspension in the way? wtf? it goes over the stock suspension not thru it.

Re: ITR Muffler? install?? (sleeperciv)
i thought the R muffler on a coupe would result in the tip sitting back alittle?
not quite sure on what the mech sed, since i wasn;t there, all that i heard was that the pipes were blocked by the suspension?
would it be advisable to reweld the the inlet onto a new pipe?
given taht this is going on to a D15Y

if you are on honda-tech asking why, you should get yourself down the car and LOOOK at them yourself...
look at what's happening, and then come back and ask what you should do, then you find a solution, and asks the mech to do it ...
if you trust the mech, let him do whatver he wants..
just my .02

trust me it will bolt on. I had one on my 95 civic coupe
it will fit on , I had to shorten the integra B-pipe and make new hangers for the muff , cut the tip off ( it sticks out WAY too far ) and notch the bumper reinforcement for the muffler to really hang where I want it , with my rear swaybar ( 22mm ) I still have clearence issues with the bottom of the car and my rear sway. bottom line it will fit , how well you want it to fit is up to you and your set-up.

Re: ITR Muffler? install?? (TurBoXBirD16)
Sorrie fella's should have made it more clear
picked up the axle back on monday and since i work 5 days a week, and down aust ican't seem to find a good muffler place open on a sat, so i had to ask my fren to go and do it for me.
Its for a hb, but i thought the tip was the correct size on a hb?
nerd sport: i think i would need to do the same, cut off the b-pipe and create a new piping down to the catback.
Thanks for the info fella's

Re: ITR Muffler? install?? (Doctor CorteZ)
4" past the rear is pretty far, i have to see this again for myself
i have a hb jap delivered, and it didn;t come with factory rearbar, modified CTR sway bar to fit. caused alttiel havoc tho, mainly due to a weak sub-frame and no matching reinforcement kit.
Plus i'm down in australia, so the beaks kit would have been nice, but after postage and currency exchange, sumwhat costly

Re: ITR Muffler? install?? (Doctor CorteZ)
you'd have to cut the tip off a few to make it look like it fits, or else it goes out too far, i couldn't get a 2000 R muffler to fit in my ek, but the ek area is smaller than the eg. someone on here had the itr on an eg, looks real nice
