ITR Intake Manifold onto a '99 Civic SI
Okay, I did a search and came up w/ a bunch of crazy answers. I just want to know, from persons with PERSONAL experience, what I need exactly to install an ITR intake manifold onto my EM1?
I purchased a bare USDM ITR IM (without ITR TB), so... Here are some issues i'm worried about...
-Will i need a dif IACV valve? or will mine work?
-Will i need an ITR throttle cable and/or bracket?
-Will my stock fuel rail fit?
-Is there anything else i would need? I was under the impression everything would switchover, and all i would need is new gaskets...
And if anyone can link me to a step by step how-to, that would be wonderful!!!
Please help me!
TIA

watup vince
hit me up on aim when u get the chance
most of the sensors should be able to switch over,
as for the throttle cable bracket, it should work but dont take my word for it
as for that striiped stud sticking out, looks like u might be screwed try to use the reverse
nut thread removing thing and see if it works, or bring it to a mechanic and have them use an extractor on it

Intake Air Temperature sensor.
You should just be able to use on screw on it, I believe you can use any d or b sensor on it, so if you don't have on hit me up I got one.

TIA </TD></TR></TABLE>Yes you can use your stock IACV
No you do not need an ITR throttle cable and bracket
Yes your stock fuel rail will work
You will need a new IM and IB gasket. Your stock IAT sensor is located in a different location from an ITR, so you will need something to plug up the hole that you pictured, I used an old IAT from an LS that isn't plugged into anything.

Easy out extraction took kit. It's a nice thing to have especially when working with Honda's. In the service manuals (them ones you buy from the dealership) they recommend that tool kit, lol. Since Honda bolts are always fuccing up.

Correct. All you will need is the IAT sensor to plug that hole. Everything else will bolt right up. You will have an extra coolant nipple that will need to be plugged but everything else is plug and play.

I don't know about the USDM civics, but when I got my skunk2 IM (ITR IM), I was having vacuum leaks, and a D16 TB gasket fixed that. Don't know if that helps, but good luck anyway!

d16 tb gasket got a smaller openining so it's restricting your air flow, unless you trimmed it, and you are risking sucking it in.
