ITR cam hp numbers? b16a
Im replacing the stock b16 cams with 01 ITR's, and just wanted to know if anybody had a rough estimate or before/after dyno with them for the sake of knowing.
Cam gears are going on, and a few other mods, dyno later on to get the car tuned since the closest one is 3 hours away.
I also heard that the cams produce power past stock redline, and on p30 ecu rev is at 8500....with a vtec/rev controller, should i adjust the x-over point at all, if anybodys got experience with it, or if stock b16 internals can go higher maybe 9kish? Tried a search but no luck....
Preciate it, Lates

Re: ITR cam hp numbers? b16a (Dark_Sol)
There's too many variables to quote a horsepower/torque number for your set up. Everyone's motor is different. The b16 internals can handle a 9k rev every now and then, but the valvesprings/retainers need to be upgraded to at least TypeR spec. With the ITR cams, you will most likely stop making power at around 8500, so there's really no reason to rev that high if you're just running basic bolt ons. You'll notice the biggest improvement after you've had your car dyno'd.

he's right... we cant just go off of what you say. You have to map out exactly what you are going to do, then get expected numbers. that block wont be able to take that light of revs like the ITR block would be able to.
