Default itr control arms!

my friend bought some jdm tiens for his 97 coupe, the guy said they could fit his car. He said all we needed was some jdm itr lower control arms, so we bought them, we actaully had a hard time installing them , but when we finally got them installed. they were too short, the wheels tilted inwards (positive camber), the car was not drive able. does anyone know how to fix this? are the control arms the wrong ones? are they too short? do we need to do a rear disc conversion to make it work? somebody help us .

the ek control arms are about 3" longer then the eg/dc/ef/da control arms and that is why it is pulling the wheel in

it simply will not work...you need to get some "jdm style" control arms for an ek to be able to make the teins work

even if you do put the gsr rear disc conversion on it it will still be 3" farther from the control arm mounting point then it is in a gsr

sorry but your just going to have to find some arms for an ek

not sure why everyone is giving answers, you didnt mention which type of tein's you have. cant give correct info if we dont know what we have from the beginning?

but hopefully you have the coilovers that you can move the lower perch up and down (where it mounts to the lca) if you do, great take those off and buy some tein ek ones for what ever model shocks you have.

then instead of messing around with the integra lca's. put your stock ones back on, then just buy new lower tein mounting perches for ek? done.

sell the itr lca's for $80 bucks get some new lower mounting perches for $80. then when you sell the teins you will have both eg (or itr type. not sure which ones you have) and also ek buyers looking at your setup.

whats better than that, more buyers equals quicker sell. and not to mention i am more than sure there is someone out there who has teins and that can use the lower perches you dont need.(your not the first to buy a set of coilovers cheap yet not for your car) sell those aswell and you might make some money on the side aswell.

just call tein and they will give you a price over the phone.

this is the easiest way to fix this problem.

Top Shotta is right, that is why it wont work and you are having problems. You are trying to get it to work on a 6th gen, and it wont. Your friends works on his 95 EG, which is a 5th gen, because the EG shares an almost 100% identical set up (as far as mounting points, etc) as the ITR does. When Honda created the EK, things changed (obviously.) Unless you find some control arms that incorporate the ITR Tiens, and your EK chassis. I dont know much about it, but you might want to check out if a EK CTR rear disc swap might have what you need. Worth checking out at least!

no need for all this work... just buy lower perches for ek from tein???? and sell the extra parts left over

if the teins have a lower removable adjustable perches, get in contact with tein and order a set for the ek that looks like a fork like cxSHOE mention.

if the teins dont have the lower removable perch, the only other way is to find a set of CTR rear lower control arms but good luck on that one.

F7 is the only company that makes ITR-style shocks for 96-00 civics.

if you can find a set, CTR rear LCAs would work also.

using coilovers that he already has instead of having to sell and get different ones, also ITR coilovers usually have more aggressive springrates than standard civic ones

hey 2scoops (j/k)
i think this is a terrible way. why spend over 2 bills when he could easily only spend $80 bucks on ek lower perches from tein?

my edit is down below...

ITR is not the only that use those type of lca. The US 88 Civic and CRX use they same type also. Including the EG6.
