You'll need the right brackets too and you'll have to get the brackets milled from .080 to .125" (Mine are .080" others have reported .125).

I reccomend .125", I do .127" off the brackets that I machine. That is what I run on my car. Oh, and if you need a set of machined brackets and ITR calipers, PM me. I have a set.

Where do you get the prelude rotors that are redrilled to 4 x 100?

Where do machine the brackets? never heard that before....

I have access to a machine shop. If anyone needs them machined, talk to me. As for a write up, I have one for a similar setup, but not exactly. After you have the brackets machined and the rotors redrilled, its a bolt on affair, pretty easy.

just get autozone rotors for a 93-96 prelude vtec and take them to a machine shop to be redrilled. or you can buy kits from http://www.fastbrakes.com

I got a hub off an integra, punched the studs out of it and use this hub as my guide when I re-drill my rotors. Because of the hub centering ring, absolute perfection isn't required.

If their two piece rotor kits are pricey, I also sell redrilled rotors, should anyone be interested. I charge 20$ for redrilling, so that plus cost of rotors and shipping to ya. Not tryin to steal business, but I know some would rather buy from a honda tuner than a big company.

Why would you need ^^^^ rotors as opposed to buying/redrilling TypeR rotors that originally worked with the TypeR calipers?

I have a 91 Si HB which has a complete Integra Brakes system swap (including spindles, etc. so for all intents and purposes, its integra running gear) and I was planning on buying TypeR rotors, redrilling them and bolting up the calipers. Does the Prelude rotor face have different backspcing than the TypeR rotor that makes installation easier?

After a little on-line searching, it seems as if all of the following Honda/Acura Vehicles share the same front rotor part number...

97-01 CRV
97-01 Prelude
95-98 Odyssey
97-01 Type R
91-92 legend Coupe
96-98 Acura RL
96-98 3.2 TL

I found this info by checking Brembo's website as well as Powerslot's website and they list the same part number for all of these cars.

There IS a reason. The 1996 Prelude VTEC rotor is not the same as the ITR rotor because the center bore is different. The ITR rotor will not sit hub centric on a civic EX or integra hub, whereas the Prelude one will because the center circle is the same. I do not know if the rotor screws line up, so if the Prelude one is hub centric, its more likely to sit centered, reducing any risk of vibration.

Ok, so the center bore of the 96 prelude vtec rotor matches the 92 and up Civic and Integra AND it is a 4x114 bolt pattern so when you redrill to 4x100 there is more rotor material left over at the edges of the holes? Correct assumption?

its not about the material left over. Its about...say you had a big *** donut, and you stick your pinky through it. your pinky is small. so would be the ITR rotor on a civic hub. it has space to 'wobble' so when you bolt the wheels on, it might not be perfectly centered. i dont think the rotor screws line up. the prelude rotor will, when redrilled, have the same size as the civic's center, so the rotor will be in the right place. even after the drilling, there is plenty of surface area on the rotor's hat for the wheel to rest on, it will be fine.

I under stood that part. In addition, I had commented that due to the Prelude being a 4x114 bolt patten, that you could drill 4x100 and have more rotor material left over as you would drilling a 5x114 rotor. Pads apply force to rotor, rotor applies force to studs, studs apply force to wheel/tire. if there is not sufficient material at the edge of the holes you drill (ex. one of the old holes is too close to one of the new holes) you could have a rotor failure.

This is an example of re-drilling a 5 lug rotor...starting to look like swiss cheese.

I see your concern. Remember the holes for the lug studs to go through doesnt have to be exact, there just holes. the force goes through the wheel, through the rotor's hat and onto the hub. the holes dont even tough the studs, its the friction that sandwiches the rotor in between. hell ive drilled holes a bit larger than .5" before and they were just fine. its not just the area of the rotor around the hole that accepts the surface of the wheel. depending on its contact area of course. should you be concerned, you could always get a thin spacer made (which is a 4x100 hubcentric washer).

Does anyone know where to get some nice slotted prelude rotors? I dont want drilled but i kinda like the slotted ones just on a cosmetic standpoint.

If you select 96 Honda Prelude VTEC you will get the proper rotor for a prelude VTEC. Checking http://www.powerslot.com it should be 707PSL and 707PSR. Tire Rack is not Mickey Mouse and will send you the correct stuff.
