Invidia CF Hood Fitment Problems HELP!!!
So i just purchased this invida hood for my eg hatch, it is brand new. Well i put it on... and then i noticed the fitment was HORRIBLE, well driver side fits fairly nicely, but the passenger side has a 1+ inch gap around the head light and upper part of the fender, i am in shock and pretty pissed. What can i do about this? I checked hood clearance, nothing seemed like it was hitting. It seems as if the hoods frame was molded lopsided.
DRIVER SIDE, HOOD FITS NICE.
PASSENGER SIDE, 1+ INCH GAP AROUND HEADLIGHT & LOWER PART OF FENDER

see how when you remove the fneders there is play in ALL directions for the bolt holes?
just loosen the bolts and move them to where you want them, same with the hood but on a smaller scale, also get hood pins if needed to hold the hood in place, as statted abouve

iv done hoodpins before on my vis hood, and pressed the hood down and it fit reasonably. I dont want to go back to that path. The VIS hood still fit a lot better then this without the hoodpins.

Not really much we can do, if you've got everything adjusted correctly then you just bought a **** hood, call the manufacturer

my oem hood is warped like that on the drivers side. not as bad. (i think its from years of hood prop use)
anyways. i played around with those rubber adjusters and the hood latch itself.
i got mine tolerable that way.
now, mine is OEM and not CF, but there is a possibility you can get that thing looking a little better.

take the rubber lifters out of the radiator head light support area. This might let the hood go down just a ****.
you can see it peaking up. in your picture

those rubber lifter on the passenger side isnt even touching the hood at all. Its like the hood is warped and lopsided. The rubber things are like 1 inch away...

nothing is different about the coupes/hatches/sedans on civics. everything is the same...it is just the hood...that is what happens when you buy cheaper carbon fiber products...you know...you get what you pay for...but yea, carbon fibre is never perfect...oem is better! don't really need them carbon fibre stuff anyways...return it for your money back...

Re: (Made In OC)
i had a invidia carbon hood on my hatch and it looked exactly the same. The passenger side lifted up a little and it looked like ****. The best thing i can tell you is contact the manufacturer and let them know. They should send you another one. I sold the car so its now the next owners problem.
