Default Intro & New EK9 owner... story here

Hello all. I am new to this forum.

My name is Jeremy, I live in Central Virginia, a little south of Richmond near Virginia Motorsports park. I am 20, and a Advanced Life Support EMS provider in the City of Richmond. I am certified as a FireFighter, and go to college part time.

Ok... my first honda was only bought back in march, a 90 Civic Hatch, STD model. it had a blown motor and was gonna be a project... it never got worked on, because I soon after found a 90 Civic Hatch Si model, that I purchased. I didnt have this long either... about 2 weeks ago, a guy from Raleigh made an offer on it. I accepted, and a few days later he was here with a truck and trailer. I had a buddy who happened to be selling his 97 Civic DX hatch... so I test drove it and liked it.

It's a 97 DX hatch, Red in color, with 18" Racing Hart C2's on it, dropzone coilovers, skunk2 strut tower bar, and powerslot rotors... I plan on selling the rims for some 16's or so... and selling the coilovers for just regular lowering springs (the coilovers are too bouncy for me.) I plan on having some photo's up tomorrow evening. Thanks for looking.

im guessing those springs are bouncy because the shocks are blown, id look into a full set of coilovers or a new shock/spring set up if i was in your position...

lol, atleast its not a thread about somebody CLAIMING they got a EK9 and they're really like 12 years old. BTW, you're looking for 16"s, in particular brand or just whatever looks good?

lol. who are you trying to kid??

from the information given, that IS correct. its a 97 hatch in virginia.

96-00 hatches in the US are EJ6's

an EK4 is what we like to call jay dee emmm just like EK9.

its a DX, not a TYPE RRR or VTi or Ferio or anything like that.

Damn, the guy just buys a hatch and people jump on him because he doesn't know his chassis code. No need to be rude. Hell, I still say my car's an EK because I don't want to have to explain it and that's what most applications are listed under anyway.

BAHAHA omg Ovaltine stop embarassing yourself please, what have we told you about posting what you think is fact..
What the hell are you taking about, that guy is located in Virginia so obviously it is a USDM market car, it is a 97 dx hatch hence it is an ej6, so what other information would you need ?

here lemme break it down for you

ej6= USDM 96-00 hatch
ek4= JDM 96-98 hatch
ek9= JDM 99-00 hatch

wait so your saying ive been driving an ek4 this whole time !!!

Alright, everyone, take it easy. It was most likely that the owner didn't have an EK9, but he identifys as so. I was just messing with him... the sense of humor of this board is unbelieveable.

96-00 Civic CX/DX//LX - EJ6
96-00 Civic Si - EJ8
99-00 Civic SiR - EM1

EK9 - JDM CTR
EK4 - JDM SiR

NOW correct me if I'm wrong EK Magic, since you seem to Pm me about this thread and say that I'm an idiot.
