Integra radiator wiring
How do you wire the FAL fans so that both fans come on when you install the integra rad and fans in a EK? I thought about using the stock fan wires to trigger a relay but then I thought that might cause damage to the ECU somehow? Stranger things have happened. I don't want it hooked up to the ignition and running all the time either. Thanks

Re: Integra radiator wiring (97_EJ6_Hatch)
Wait, I'm confused on what you want to do - you said you don't want it to always be on...but that seems to be what you're trying to do?
WHEN do you want the fans on? Just whenever the standard fan would come on? I'm kinda confused on that one .

Re: Integra radiator wiring (Syndacate)
I want it to come on when the thermo switch tells it to, the way the stock fan would, but the fal's for the integra rad have two seperate pigtails for each l/r fan. Thats why I was going to trigger a relay with the factory wires. When the thermo would try to turn on the fan, current would trigger the relay, in turn conducting current from the battery to the fans. I thought the two fans might put too much load on the wire originally intended for one fan? But i'm hesitant to do this as i'm told relays can sometimes send current upstream? I'm probably making this a lot more complicated than it has to be (I tend to over analyse possible problems) but I just don't see the point in why the bloody fan should be running all the time if it was wired hot on the ignition? ? Why would you need it running driving down the road, or sitting somewhere with the ignition on, and the engine not running?
