Integra block to civc si head
I am asking this for my cousin. He has a 2000 civic si. He thinks that the head and transmisson of it and the Integra type R in the same.
1. Is it true.
2. Is there any bolcks from Integra other then the Type R that could be ued with the head, tobe build like a Type R engine.

I believe the transmissions use the same gearing...other than that I think thats it.
Obviously the Type R is hand ported/polished, has more aggressive cams, tranny has lsd..etc so on and so forth..

Re: Integra block to civc si head (96grnaccord)
1. this is completely biased, i believe they are. as far as them using the same profile from a ctr, that i don't know. i've always heard and read, a ctr or an Si valvetrain is much more aggressive than a USDM itr. can anyone back me up on this?
2.yes, the c1/ any b18 block. displacements are identical. as far as compression ratios, and output block to block comparison? i'd have to search on that.
that's all i know so far.

Re: Integra block to civc si head (jdmillusion)
the SI and ITR heads are made from the same cast, but that is where it stops. The ITR heads have a pocket port and different VALVES, SPRINGS, CAMS.
ITR cams are different then SI cams. And 2000-2001 USDM ITR cams are alsmost the same as CTR cams.
The trannies are the same, except the ITR has LSD.
