Default INtake manifold...

How can you tell if an intake minifold is for a standard or auto tranny?

i have a d16y8 intake manifold my friend sold me, but im not sure


does it even matter what tranny?

is that only for turbo intake manifolds?

I just heard someone saying somehting about it mattering what tranny you have....


and i wasnt sure

y8 standard manifold has a iacv on the back. automatic does not have the iacv on the manifold, but they have a flat spot on the back instead of a hole for the standard one.

it doesn't matter. look at the back of the manifold. std, you will have a iacv. if valve is missing it will have a hole. auto, will be flush with a flat spot.
