Installing a hitch on 2000 hatch back
I need to install a 2" hitch on my EK hatch for a bike rack. Anyone done this before? Easy? Something I can do myself? Where can I buy a hitch online?

Draw-Tite. Easy install. I have the same thing for my bikes because the rear shock braces mean I cant just throw them in the back and I don't want a 'strap on' to ruin my paint.

I've got a hitch for towing tires, bikes, and a Sea-Doo on my 00 Coupe. Mine is a Draw-Tite and it cost me about $200 from a local shop which included install and wiring. You should be able to find one for around $100 and you can install it yourself. It just bolts to the frame of the car. It does add about 40 pounds though.

hum, i have a hitch and conversion harness for my 92hatch. I might be taking it off and be willing to sell it as a package.
It was a matter of adding 2 holes to the bumper support, 2 are already there. 5 bolts total, 4 into bumper support, 1 into hitch. Then a trim of a fraction of the bumper, never left the black lower trim. The conversion harness is setup with all wire taps and is needed to attach to the hitch, at least 92-95 cant just use like the plug in lightbulb format.

haha i dunno why this sounds funny a hitch on a ek hatch ( i own one as well mine is stock) all i know is my **** can barely pull my passengers inside car hahaha

wtf, take it apart and put it in the trunk. or just strap like 8 cynderblock in your trunk to get used to the extra weight.
