installing ex sunroof in dx
my ej6 (98 dx 4d) is w/out a "moonroof". Well I came across one from a ex civic coupe and wondered if it will work in my car. There is a local sunroof installer near me and I was thinking I could just take them all the parts and have them install it.
Now, the car this sunroof came from was a ej8, 2 door ex coupe. Will it work?

Re: installing ex sunroof in dx (6gcivic)
you wanna put a 2 door sunroof into a 4 door? hmm...length might be an issue...also, when all is said and done, ur car's gonna be alot heavier then getting the 4 door ex to begin with...

I'm gonna buy a aftermarket slide out unit for my Dx. At least withthose you're doing all the sealing yourself so you can make sure you do it right. I like the manual ones better too.

huh? The sunroof doesnt weigh that much. I could more than compensate for the added weight by going ona diet! From what I've been able to ascertain, its the same sunroof thats used in the 4 dr civic; model number wise. Besides its not worth selling my car just to gain a sunroof
I love moonroofs.

Youd be surprise once you get that sunroof how heavy it is compared to ur cut out section...i've done this before so i think i'd know...except it was on a teg.
Im just saying make sure the length and width of the top of the two cars are the same, that way you know for sure, and you wouldn't waist time or money doing that...like you are now...thats why i stated you should've gotten the EX to begin with.
