Default Installing cams b16

I found a set of cat cams stage 1 one for a good rpice and im thinking of buying them. Heres my one question though, the only mod I have done performance wise is intake. My buddy said that i should wait to do cams untill I get a header and exhaust. If I install them without these will I be fine?
