Default Installing b16 head onto b18b1 block

Well im trying to put the head on the block as of right now, im using the golden eagle ls-vtec conversion kit.

The problem is that when i try to align the head onto the block, only one of the dowel pin can be align. either one side go in and the other side pop out or vise versa.

Any tips onto getting it both dowel pin align? i tried like 20+ times and cant seem to get it in correctly

Im confused as to what you mean.
You dropped them onto the headstuds and now you can get them to fit in the head correctly?

I need to align both dowel pin to sit flush on the head and block but one of the dowel pin always pop out and wont sit in it place correctly. Therefore it would be sitting on the block and have like 1 inch gap while the other side sit correctly
