Injector, Fuel, Regulator, Pressure and Gasket Problem. Look! eg hatch w/ gsr
94 eg hatch. bought a bone stock gsr swap with around 30,000 miles from ana trade in baltimore maryland. put the stock gsr in and drove around for 2 months NO SMOKE.
pulled the swap and put a brand new s2 manifold, aem regulator, act clutch, 4-1 header and a valve cover on it. car smokes white and black. on the accel and decell. black resudue on bumper. car smokes at idle sometime.
heres some quesitions
whats the stock fuel psi a gsr should be at? is that at idle?
if the fuel psi was to high could it blow the orings on the injectors and the seals for the injectors on the manifold?
would bad injector o-rings or the seals on the manifold that the injectors sit in cause your car to smoke?
what about not the right torq specs on the manifold-cause your car to smoke?
valve seals and pistons rings cause your car to smoke?
****also when i put the parts on but the swap back i never hooked up the pcv system it was open. (i forgot it and left in to on my stock gsr mani. i drove around for a day or two and relized i didnt hook it up. in that day or two is when it started smoking. hooked up the pcv and still smokes. ----- could that done something to my engine by not having it hooked up? whats the pcv do?
please help
i was told to do valve seals and piston rings and im not doing all that untill i figure out what it is and if it could be something stupid.
IT NEVER SMOKED TILL I PUT THE PARTS ON
used all new gaskets by the way!

stock psi is 35
are you running rich? or lean?
check your oil to see if you are burning oil- if so then you need to change valve seals or rings. hows your compression??
white smoke would be either coolant or fuel not oil.

ok and 35 is at idle?
also i dont kno how to tell if im running reach or lean unless i get a air to fuel gauge and wire it up.
it smells like its running rich!
im guna go check my oil and coolant now.
and havent check my compression. but my plugs look great. no coolant or oil.
the shop i go to said a compression check wouldnt show anything if it was a valve seal problem. they said its valve seals and pistons rings.
ppl on HT and my buddys think not so thats why i posted this.
so white is coolant or fuel
and oil is black smoke?
